“Working in Germany”
SPD Workers’ Conference
The Bielefeld SPD is looking forward to the high level employee conference on 20th February 2017 in the Stadthalle Bielefeld. In addition to the designated SPD party chairman and chancellor candidate Martin Schulz Federal Minister of Labour Andrea Nahles, Federal Minister for Family Affairs Manuela Schwesig and high-ranking representatives of the trade unions are also expected, among others, the Federal President of the German Trade Union Confederation Reiner Hoffmann and Federal Youth Secretary of the DGB Ünsal Baser. “The visit of Martin Schulz is a building block on the way to our election programme, and we are very pleased that he has selected Bielefeld to discuss with employee representatives and trade unions in concrete terms, on how fairly and well, we as social democrats can shape the working world of tomorrow” said Wiebke Esdar, chairperson and Bundestag candidate for the Bielefelder SPD.
In three thematic working forums, the shape of the digital working world, the turning point in the dual vocational training, and the self-determined organisation of working hours will be discussed.
The employees’ conference is aimed at addressing nationwide personnel and works councils as well as youth and trainee representatives. Likewise, social-democratic workers can register as additional guests.
Live streaming from b1group GmbH, The Berlin agency for Live Communication, is available for those who can’t be present in Bielefeld, on the website of the SPD from 11.00 until 15.00.
